Meet the Owner of Motivation Station

I was so excited when Anna said yes to participating in this series of local business features!

Her business, Motivation Station Nutrition Spot, is simply delightful.

Anna and her staff were nothing but smiles, cheerful and welcoming and every customer in the place seemed just happy to be there!

Anna has made this place welcoming and inviting and INSPIRING!

Need an energy boost or a bit of motivation, this is your place.

About the Business

Tell us about your business and what you offer.

Motivation Station is my happy place. It’s a lot of people’s happy place. It’s a place where you can grab something healthy, make a new friend, come grab a free workout and just become part of a community that cares. Yes we are Herbalife, but we’re not pushy in any way. You can come in and grab whatever you want. Come enough and you’ll end up getting hugs!

How Motivation Station Began

What inspired you to start this business, and how did it come to life here in New Braunfels?

When I found Aim High Nutrition in 2013, it was the start of me working on me. I was an exhausted, postpartum mom of two and it truly gave me life. The tea and shakes gave me the energy I’d been searching for, for years, and I felt healthy for the first time in a long time. I joined the Fit Camp’s (I had never worked out before) and fell in love with Boot Camp style workouts. Something about community coming together.

Then we moved to New Braunfels and I was offered the opportunity to run Another club 337 Nutrition on the loop. It was open for two years, and that’s when I started my own Fit Camps, team motivation Fit Camps, and met so many amazing people, mostly Mom’s like me.

So when that location closed, I found a spot of my own. It wasn’t the nicest spot. It was in the Walnut Business Center, and I only had three parking spots. We took it from a complete destroyed garage and turned it into a pretty cool hidden gym - Motivation Station, born in 2016.

So all that being said, my “why” would be to help others fall in love with being healthy like I did and to be that motivation that I was given.

Serving the New Braunfels Community

What do you love most about serving this community?

What I love most is the relationships I’ve built, the customer to Friend to Family, and the friendships I’ve seen other people I care about build. It’s pretty beautiful.

Behind the Scenes of a Small Business

What’s something most people don’t see or know about running your business day-to-day?

I’m constantly trying to keep up with making new recipes!

- Posting on social media - I can definitely say there’s many mornings I spend crying before I open shifts wondering how I’m going to keep up with everything.

Coming up with new workouts after 13 years can be a challenge sometimes.

Also, just the strain of having a small business and how hard it is in this time. Economically, financially, it’s scary.

I can’t tell you how many times I think this might be my last year. I’m coming up on 10 years at the end of June.

My goal is to make it there. If it’s God’s plan will keep going.

Values That Guide Their Work

What values guide the way you show up for your clients or customers?

I know how I was treated when I showed up at my first nutrition club and my first Fit Camp, and those are the values that I’ve carried through the years. I try to show up because you never know what someone’s going through when they walk through that door. I try to be an ear, give advice, hugs and just show love. Seeing people smile and get excited about their first sip or that they just did a sit up for the first time. It’s the best feeling.

How to Support Motivation Station

How can the community best support your business right now?

Sharing posts, talking to your friends about that delicious shake you just drank or how much energy you had from that tea you got yesterday. Definitely tagging us in pictures of our drinks. Writing a review, if you think we deserve it of course. But most of all stop by. Especially if you never have and try it out. I’ve always said we are New Braunfels’ best kept secret, but once you take that first sip, you’ll be back especially cause we don’t let you leave without a smile on your face!
