What to Expect at your Boudoir Photoshoot

One thing I hear a lot from women is that they’ve thought about doing a boudoir photoshoot but just aren’t sure if they should.

Let’s get one thing straight – you are beautiful now just as you are.

Every woman is beautiful because she exists. Period, end of story.

My job is to reflect that beauty back to you and to create a fun experience for you at your session.

There are no requirements for booking a boudoir shoot. You do not have to be a certain weight, look a certain way, or be a certain kind of person. A boudoir session is for everyone and your session will be custom-tailored to you.

So, now that you know you don’t need special permission or meet any other criteria to experience a boudoir photoshoot and you’re in the New Braunfels, San Antonio or Austin areas, let’s talk a little about what to expect at your very own boudoir photoshoot.

Before your session – what to know

• We’ll connect ahead of time to talk about your vision, your wardrobe, any styling or hair & makeup add-ons.

• On the day of your photo session, when you arrive we’ll review each outfit and map out the order of the shoot.

• If you’ve chosen to have hair & makeup done (note: included in the top package; can be added to others), you’ll enjoy some pampering and styling. If you’re doing your own makeup and hair, we’ll dive right in.

• I’ll guide you through wardrobe, help you feel comfortable, and set the tone so that you feel relaxed, confident and excited.

During your boudoir photoshoot

• Throughout your entire session, I’ll direct and guide you in all the posing—you are not going to be left hanging, not knowing what to do or how to look.

• I’ll use lighting and posing techniques that are flattering for your body, your style, and your comfort level.

• Every part of the session is designed to feel fun, empowering, and true to your personality.

• At any point if you feel uncertain, let me know—I’ll adjust to your pace.

• Even if you’re a little nervous going in, you’re not alone—this is laid-back, enjoyable, and built for you to feel good.

After your session – your beautiful portraits & next steps

• After your shoot, I’ll walk you through any questions you have about selecting your favorite images and deciding how you’ll display them (prints, albums, wall art, digital files).

• When you look at your portraits later, you’ll find yourself loving them more and more as time goes by.

• Whether you choose just the album, a gift for someone else, or art for your home, you’ll have something meaningful and lasting.

The whole process is just so much fun—from planning your session, to the actual photoshoot, to receiving your beautiful portraits.

And at the end of it all, you’ll have a set of images that show you exactly how radiant you are.
