This week’s local business feature is one I’m so happy to share with you!

Free Me Bail Bonds serves this community by helping families navigate through incredibly stressful situations.

While bail bond services are not something you might ever imagine needing, knowing that there are caring people like Nicole Guerra doing this work is incredibly comforting. Even if you never need this service, someone in your life might at some point.

Sharing local businesses with others makes a difference. You never know how sharing information may positively change someone’s life when they need it most.

One thing I love about New Braunfels is that it’s home to so many unique and caring people doing amazing work. This series has been such an honor being able to share some of these local business owners and their businesses with you.

I’d love for you to check out all the businesses featured HERE:

Meet the Owner of Free Me Bail Bond

I met up with Nicole Guerra, who along with her husband, runs Free Me Bail Bonds, and I met up with her at their location on W San Antonio St. here in New Braunfels for photos.

The place is absolutely welcoming and as unintimidating as can be.

There’s a positive feel to it when you enter, which is impressive considering the stressful nature of their work.

It was so great to get to know more about her business and the work she and her team does both here in New Braunfels and in surrounding locations.

About the Business

Tell us about your business and what you offer.

At its core, we help people navigate one of the most stressful moments of their lives with clarity, speed, and dignity. We provide bail bond services, but what we really offer is relief, guidance, and a steady presence when everything feels chaotic. We’re not just processing paperwork—we’re helping families breathe again.

How It All Began

What inspired you to start this business, and how did it come to life here in New Braunfels?

This is a family business in every sense. My husband and I run it together, and I’m actually a third-generation bail bond agent—my grandpa started this work back in the 70s. So for me, this isn’t something I stepped into randomly, it’s something I was raised around.

My roots run deep here, and New Braunfels will always be home. Even though we now have four locations in the surrounding New Braunfels area, this is still the heart of everything we do. Building and continuing this business here just made sense—it’s personal. It’s not just about what we do, it’s about carrying on something that’s been part of my family and this community for decades.

Serving the New Braunfels Community

What do you love most about serving this community?

The relationships. This community is full of real people with real stories, and getting to walk alongside them—even briefly—matters. I love being a part of someone’s first right step—when things feel uncertain, and they’re trying to move forward.

There’s something powerful about being a steady, non-judgmental presence in a hard moment. It’s not just about transactions—it’s about impact.

Behind the Scenes of a Small Business

What’s something most people don’t see or know about running your business day-to-day?

A lot of it is emotional. You’re not just dealing with logistics—you’re dealing with fear, urgency, and families trying to figure things out in real time. Behind the scenes, it’s constant problem-solving, late-night calls, and making sure every situation is handled with both speed and care. It’s structured chaos—but with purpose.

Values That Guide Their Work

What values guide the way you show up for your clients or customers?

Clarity, respect, and consistency. People deserve to understand what’s happening, to be treated without judgment, and to know they can rely on us to follow through. We move fast, but we don’t cut corners—and we treat every person like they matter, because they do.

How to Support Free Me Bail Bonds ‍

How can the community best support your business right now?

The biggest thing is simply spreading the word. Recommend us when someone’s in need, share our content, and stay connected with what we’re building. Even just engaging with our posts helps us reach the people who might need us most.

This business is different—it’s not something people plan for. You don’t realize you need a bondsman until you’re in the middle of a stressful situation, and in those moments, people often turn to Google and lose valuable time trying to figure out who to trust.

That’s why visibility matters so much. Buying merch, repping it, and helping get our name out across Central Texas makes a real difference—because when the moment comes, people already know who to call.

Why Supporting Local Businesses Matters

Free Me Bail Bonds provides a much needed service to our community and does so in a way that’s caring and non-judgmental.

The work that this business provides is absolutely crucial for people to be able to start making positive changes in their lives.

It’s so meaningful and impactful that Nicole and her family have created and maintained this space to help people to do so since the 70s.

I love that Free Me Bail Bonds exists here in New Braunfels and it’s a perfect example of what makes New Braunfels amazing.

Let’s all support local by giving Free Me Bail Bonds a follow on social media (links below) and share this post to help spread the love! Supporting small businesses really does strengthen our community and makes it better for us all.
